Tannum Sands

Key details

The Tannum Sands Priority Development Area (PDA) provides a range of housing designs and price points for both home ownership and rental options.

The PDA is located within the Gladstone Regional Council area, approximately 25 kilometres south east of Gladstone City Centre.

It covers 170 hectares and includes private and state-owned land between Tannum Sands Road to the east and the Boyne River to the west.

The PDA was declared on 9 September 2011.

Development scheme

The development scheme is the regulatory document which assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within the PDA.

The Tannum Sands PDA Development Scheme (PDF icon 1.9 MB) commenced on 19 October 2012.

Development assessment

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) assesses development applications for this PDA.

All development applications are assessed against the development scheme.

Infrastructure

Funding and building infrastructure is key to facilitating development within PDAs and is outlined in the Infrastructure Funding Framework ( 1.4 MB).
