Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games™ venues
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) events will be hosted across 18 world-class competition venues located on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville. In preparation for GC2018 the Queensland Government will deliver three new competition venues and upgraded a further seven venues to provide long-lasting sport and community facilities for South East Queensland.
The Commonwealth Games Village is one of the most significant legacy projects of GC2018. The new 1252 apartments and 82 townhouses across 18 buildings will provide accommodation and services to 6600 athletes and officials during GC2018.
All competition venues and the Games Village have been completed well ahead of the Games, allowing time to be thoroughly tested prior to hosting the GC2018.

Revitalisation of the Carrara Sports Precinct will provide new and upgraded facilities for a range of elite and community sporting groups on the Gold Coast. The works include construction of the New Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre as well as upgrades to Carrara Stadium and Carrara Indoor Stadium. Construction on the new Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre was completed in April 2017.

Construction on Queensland's first indoor Velodrome was completed in September 2016. This new world-class facility is located alongside the Brisbane Super X BMX Track at Sleeman Sports Complex and is a new centre of excellence for cycling in Queensland.

Upgrade works to the Broadbeach Bowls Club greens and clubhouse were completed in May 2016.

This venue upgrade included improvements to existing community facilities and the creation of two new synthetic pitches and a turf pitch. Construction was completed in May 2017. A third hockey pitch was constructed at the Sports Super Centre at Runaway Bay to be used as the GC2018 hockey training venue.

The Gold Coast Cycle Centre and neighbouring Nerang National Park will be the location for the GC2018 mountain bike competition. The project included new and upgraded mountain bike trails and building facilities. Construction of the Gold Coast Cycle Centre upgrades commenced in January 2016 and were completed in July 2016 and the mountain bike trail was completed in February 2017.

The $41 million redevelopment of the Southport pool complex, originally developed in the 1960s, has provided the Gold Coast with a world-class swimming and diving facility. Construction was completed in June 2014, and was the first venue delivered for GC2018.

This venue will host the GC2018 gymnastics competition and netball finals. Construction was completed in August 2016, more than 18 months ahead of the games.

The Belmont Shooting Complex will host the Clay Target, Full Bore, Pistol and Small Bore shooting events for GC2018. The $16.5 million Belmont Shooting Centre Project included a range of permanent upgrades and temporary facilities to meet international competition requirements for GC2018.

The following venues will also host GC2018 sporting events but do not require any major upgrade works.
- Southport Broadwater Parklands will host the marathon, race walking and triathlon
- Robina Stadium will host the Rugby 7s
- Elanora/Currumbin Valley will host the road cycling
- Oxenford Studios will host the boxing, table tennis and squash
- Cairns Convention Centre will host the basketball heats
- Townsville Convention Centre will host the basketball heats
- Coolangatta Beachfront will host the beach volleyball
