About state development areas

A state development area (SDA) is a clearly defined area of land - for industry, infrastructure corridors and major public works - established to promote economic development in Queensland.

Development schemes, applications and requests

Each SDA is subject to a development scheme, a regulatory document that controls planning and development in an SDA.

There are a several applications or requests relating to development within SDAs, including an SDA application for a material change of use.
