The Coordinator-General undertakes planning studies to better understand the development opportunities and constraints within the Abbot Point SDA.
The study reports are a source of information for proponents, government and the community about the potential locations for industry and infrastructure within the Abbot Point SDA.
They provide the foundation for further planning by government and detailed site-based planning by proponents.
To understand the existing conditions within the Abbot Point SDA, it is important stakeholders rely not only on these planning studies but also other information (e.g. Abbot Point Cumulative Impact Assessment and project-related environmental impact statements).
